Representation Matters: An Ode to Black Panther

We’re celebrating the life of Chadwick Boseman, known best for his role as the Black Panther— Marvel’s first black superhero.⁣ ⁣

Our hearts our heavy with Friday’s news of our beloved Chadwick Boseman’s battle with Colon Cancer coming to an abrupt end. In celebration of the phenomenal talent that was Chadwick Boseman, we’re shining a light on why “Representation Matters” with the Sunday School Creative.⁣ ⁣ This short, unscripted project was created around the experience of representation through film. The story depicts a young boy’s first time getting a magazine featuring a black superhero. It emphasizes the importance of representation in film for people of color, and the youthful perspective after being exposed to such an influence.⁣ ⁣

A treasure and true loss— ⁣ rest peacefully, Chadwick. ⁣ ⁣
